Search has seen a major upturn in the demand for outsourced HR services over the past year, as companies opt to concentrate their management resources on their core business.

Employment legislation is so complex, and the penalties for getting it wrong so considerable, that more and more companies are opting to ìbuy inî specialist HR support. Search has gone one step further however and offers the facility to deliver full-time HR support onsite; where Search HR professionals move in to become an integral and long-term part of their clientsí management teams.

Search has 12 teams of HR professionals currently on long-term secondment within a range of industries. Search Managing Director, Kai McCabe, says it makes perfect sense for clients to buy in specialist services, adding, ìClients have welcomed the fact that we have the resources to slot entire HR teams in, to take the strain away from business managers. This leaves them to focus on core activities.

ìVery often, Search has large numbers of our own staff on permanent secondment within client companies. Itís the next logical stage therefore for us to integrate HR management to look after these staff members on-site.î

Search has had onsite management teams in place for one major client at four out of its eight UK operations. The company concerned provides outsourced services itself, through diversified call and contact centres and Search has over 1500 trained, outsourced staff currently on placement working with them.

Search onsite management teams look after all the HR responsibilities of the workforce; including disciplinary matters, counselling, appraisal and personal development.

Kai McCabe says this is an easy client to work with as, within their own operation, they have already embraced the notion that company managers should be left to concentrate on what they do best.
