Scottish appointments does the job

.

ScottishAppointments.com, has fought off stiff competition to win one of the National Online Recruitment
Awards (NORA) 2002, after 27,000 web users from across the UK nominated their favourite recruitment web site.

A staggering 82% of UK jobseekers now consider the Internet to be the easiest way to source new job opportunities, compared to only 13% who find newspapers simplest. Meanwhile 84% say it is the most straightforward way
to apply for jobs and 55% believe that the Internet is the best path to obtaining a position.

The winners were judged by a panel of industry experts, focusing on a wide range of user friendly facilities including ease of use, design, layout & speed, volume of available vacancies, volume of claimed visitors, available
facilities for jobseekers and prominence in a targeted market.

Pat Kelly, managing director of the firm is delighted with the news. He comments: Its fantastic to be recognised as a regional leader in this sector. I believe that this award is recognition of our progress to provide a web site that truly delivers what both recruiters and candidates want.

Since our successful management buy-out earlier this year we continue to develop, and are on target to firmly establish ourselves as Scotland''s leading recruitment web site.

Online recruitment has seen massive growth over the last five years with more than 50% of UK companies using the power of the Internet to recruit and over 12.5 million users a month opting for online services to job hunt.

Main advantages over traditional methods such as searching the classified sections of daily newspapers, are that both employers and applicants will find online recruitment facilities cheaper, faster and easier to use.
