Recruitment software provider, Recruitive, has integrated its cloud based technology with The GreenJobs Network of websites, dedicated to recruitment within the green industry sector.

Richard Clarke, Managing Director at Recruitive comments: “As the UK and Ireland becomes more environmentally friendly the number of green jobs being advertised is on the increase.  Research conducted by the Department of Energy and Climate Change predict, that by 2020, the number of green jobs will increase to 1.4m up from 1m today.  We are delighted have added GreenJobs to our panel of job boards in order to cope with this expected increase in demand.”

Launched in 2008, The GreenJobs Network of websites specifically targets candidates across all areas of the environmental and renewable energy market place.  Jonathan Kyle, Director of Strategy at The GreenJobs Network comments: “We are delighted to be working with Recruitive to promote environmentally friendly jobs.  To make it easier for job seekers to find the type of job they are looking for, our website is split into over 100 specific green sectors including conservation, environmental, renewable, solar, waste, water and wind.”

Kyle adds:  The types of green jobs available in today’s market place range from environmental consultants to solar project managers and wind turbine engineers.  A study commissioned by Global Action Plan (GAP), an organisation dedicated to changing people’s behaviour to help the environment, has revealed ten future careers that they expect to emerge as a result of the growth of the green economy, including Green Call Centre Advisers and Water Footprinting Managers.  We expect to see these new job types advertised on our website in the not so distant future.”
