Recruiter running for baby charity

David Kidd, Regional Manager of Nicholas Andrews and Temps Financial for the Midlands area, is running the London Marathon in aid of Tommyís

Tommy’s is determined to end the heartache caused by premature birth, miscarriage, and stillbirth, and is a cause close to David. Diana Stenning, Head of Community Fundraising, for Tommyís comments that ìWe fund a national programme of research, education and information aimed at understanding and preventing these tragedies. With people like David raising valuable funds we can make huge strides.î

David is buoyant about the forthcoming race, ìI have been training now for 8 months and am hoping to run the race in under 3 hours.î When asked about what will keep him going, David is adamant ìthe exhilaration of completing a marathon will give me that extra kick, and when things get really tough at around 18 miles I will just think about the real reason as to why I am running for Tommyís.î

David has to raise at least 2000, and is being supported by colleagues and the accountancy community in the West Midlands. He comments ìthe support I have had from Nicholas Andrews and Tommyís has been superb, Nicholas Andrews are even going to be running a competition for our clients to predict how long it is going to take me to run the race!î

For now David can be seen pounding the streets of the West Midlands, preparing for April 18th.
