Visitors to the Video Arts stand will be presented with a unique experience and shown six manager’s ’nightmares’: Defensive Dennis, Weepy Wendy, Silent Steve, Non-stick Nigel, Bolshie Becky and Bored Betty. These classic difficult characters will be shown in action and Video Arts will provide simple and effective strategies for getting them on-side.

In addition to Performance review, Video Arts will be showcasing three main areas at the HRD 2004 Conference and Exhibition.

New releases - This will look at a number of individual titles from Video Arts available on DVD and video formats including, Going to a meeting, Who moved my cheese?, Performance review and How to connect in business in 90 seconds or less. You can also find out more about Freedom of information - a training programme designed to help staff at public authorities get to grips with the Act before it comes into force in January 2005.
Fish! adventure - Do you want to become more enthused at work? More to the point, would you like to motivate those around you? If the answer is yes, Video Arts brings you one of the most popular training programmes ever, as an exciting and interactive experience - Fish! adventure. You’ll be introduced to the four principles of the Fish! philosophy: Play, Make Their Day, Be There and Choose Your Attitude!
Online learning - Catch up with the latest trends in online learning. Video Arts gives you the enjoyable, engaging materials to use alongside more traditional forms of training so learners get the most out of it. You can also experience {think-tank}, an interactive forum that provides a range of free content and advice.

Don’t miss the Video Arts, ’Topic Taster Showcase’ on Wednesday 21 April 2004 between 13.15 and 13.45pm. The showcase entitled - ’It’s time for a new approach to appraisals,’ - will investigate research which reveals that 30% of appraisals are a waste of time*. Video Arts will show how both sides can get more out of performance reviews, and why there’s a real need for a new approach for both the manager and appraisee. Highlights from Performance review, the new Video Arts programme, will also be featured.
