100% Web-based decisionware for HR professionals

100% Web-based decisionware for HR professionals

New Zealand-based HR technology provider Promana Concepts Ltd has launched a fully interactive, browser-based system for mapping, managing and modifying a multitude of job-specific behaviours that affect personal and team performance.

Using an integrated system of behavioural preference surveys, PfP-Live! describes real-time behaviour, not personality, a feature that makes it easily understood and readily accepted by all who use it.

The system has a long pedigree, consisting of more than twenty yearsí ongoing consultancy and industry experience. Local banks, insurance companies, government agencies and Telcoís first adopted the system in the early ë80s, to support managers as they selected and developed people, fine-tuned teams and undertook organisational development.

ìBuilding on that success, we wanted to make our system available globally, to small, medium and large enterprises - even to individuals wanting to understand or represent themselves better,î said Michael Dakin, Promanaís Founder and Chairman. ìPfP-Live!ís objectivity allows its users to make decisions about things like ëWho should we hire?í, ëWhoíll take the lead?í, ëWhoíll follow?í and ëHow do we form, structure or develop teams?íî

One of the aims of the PfP-Live! Internet project has been to duplicate a proven system and make it available to a wide range of users who would not ordinarily have access to high-end consultancy services. To this end, PfP-Live! licences are free to obtain, with the only cost being for the use of the online questionnaires from which the profile reports are generated. These e-questionnaires are purchased on a just-in-time, or as-needed basis.

ìWe had a lot of input from the HR industry as development progressed,î said Dakin, an HR professional, manager and consultant for 30 years. ìThis helped us introduce some genuine innovations and has led to several unique features being included in this initial release.î

These include powerful reporting options, a fully customisable user interface, built-in e-commerce capabilities and ëSnap Assessmentsí ñ highly flexible profiling sessions that can be invoked from a licence holderís own Web site, without the need to write any code. Licensees can also customise the way the tests are presented, by merging, shuffling and renaming non-critical parts of the process to suit their requirements.

ìWhat you end up with,î concludes Dakin, ìis a very flexible tool that can be adapted to suit the HR needs of almost any organisation ñ whether theyíre recruiters, management consultants, sports coaches, HR managers, team leaders or just regular people who want to say to a prospective employer ëDonít take my word for it ñ hereís some science that proves Iím the right person for you.íî
