Preferred International Celebrates Re-recognition

.

Preferred International, the award winning human capital and IT recruitment consultancy, is celebrating after being successfully re-recognised as an Investor in People by Quality South East Ltd.

Investors in People is the national Standard awarded to organisations that have been able to link their organisational aims with the way in which their people have been developed - with tangible results to show for it.

The company first committed to the Standard in September 2000 and was initially recognised in February 2001. In 2002 the company was singled out as an exemplar Investor in People and used as a national case study. This year Preferred International underwent a Profile Review, and so will be used as a benchmark against which other companies are judged.

Quality South East’s Investor in People Assessor, who performed the review, commented: People development is fully integrated into the Company’s operational planning process, indeed it is clear that it would not have been so successful in the past without a very deep commitment to ensuring everyone can provide the highest level of skill and knowledge. Preferred International, by maintaining motivation and skilful staff development and retention, has retained its reputation and has not been afraid to make changes to improve or secure market share lead.

In response to the news Kathleen Smith, Director at Preferred International says: Maintaining our Investor in People status endorses our success in providing a stimulating, supportive and motivating workplace, and developing our talent to improve personal and business performance. It is a credit to all the individuals at Preferred International and is a vital business driver - especially as we continue to expand our workforce and service capability.

Preferred International’s re-recognition as an Investor in People coincides with it securing a place in the finals of the Recruiter Award for Training and Development category of the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2004. The award recognises organisations that invest internally, in their own people and environment, in order to improve service to clients and candidates and contribute to business success.
