The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas Selects OnCall as its Recruiting Solution

OnCall Systems, Inc., the first company to connect employers and job seekers using speech technology, today announced the availability of its phone-based recruiting solution, as well as the signing of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV as a customer.
Designed for companies hiring hourly and part-time workers, OnCall extends the efficiency of web-based recruitment to hiring of hourly workers through a speech-based platform that automates sourcing, pre-screening and interview scheduling of hourly workers via a phone.

In the current economy, companies must distinguish their service through highest quality workers, and yet achieve cost competitive operations, said Reena Jadhav, co-founder and chief marketing officer of OnCall Systems. OnCall delivers on both objectives by quickly identifying the highest quality pre-screened candidates and decreasing cost per hire.
Hourly workers, which make up over 70% of U.S. workers, are much less likely to have access to the Internet, but they do have telephones, Ms. Jadhav said. OnCall converts the job seekers phone into a powerful personalized job search tool. For the first time jobseekers can manage the entire process of obtaining a job by phone. They are given an account through which they can create and update their resumes, receive real-time job opening alerts, status updates, and manage interview appointments.

Employers of hourly workers can transform their recruiting process by replacing their static job hotline with OnCall's automated bilingual voice recruiter. They can accomplish cost effective sourcing by collecting resumes 24/7 for current and future job openings. New job openings are automatically broadcast by phone to interested matching candidates. Employers can also achieve higher quality hires by pre-screening and scheduling qualified candidates for an interview on the first call itself. They can also protect and build their brand by presenting a consistent, objective HR persona.

OnCall's web-based suite enables the hiring manager to administer and automate the entire recruiting process, including the real-time posting of jobs, reviewing of candidates' talking resumes, and scheduling of interviews.

The Venetian, which is unveiling a new hotel tower and expanded convention space in June 2003, has deployed the OnCall system to recruit and screen potential employees for the Tower as well as fulfill ongoing hiring needs. The hotel's management said it needed a service that delivered high-performance recruiting capabilities targeting hourly workers, while the human resources staff needed a more precise way to identify the best-qualified candidates.
The Venetian prides itself in offering a rewarding, exceptional work environment and as a result, we attract a lot of talent, said Dave Newton, vice president of human resources for the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Our goal is to have our employment people spend their time interviewing the most qualified candidates. OnCall enables us to do this by automatically pre-screening and scheduling interviews with qualified candidates for open jobs. It also allows us to collect resumes for future openings.

OnCall has simplified the decision making process by offering the system on a service bureau model with turnkey deployment, for monthly subscription fees. Customized private label implementations are available on an annual license contract, Ms. Jadhav said.
