Old Chicago Restaurants selects Hcareers.com

Old Chicago Restaurants, a division of Rock Bottom Restaurant's Inc., is turning to the Internet to fill 150 positions over the next two years. The restaurant chain has selected Hcareers.com, the biggest job site for the restaurant industry, to deliver qualified managers with food industry experience.

Because of Hcareers.com's restaurant-specific focus and cost-effective pricing, Old Chicago Restaurants chose to use the site for its 49 restaurants. Old Chicago posts five to seven jobs on Hcareers.com's site each month and regularly receives targeted candidate resumes. Prior to working with Hcareers.com, the restaurant chain handled recruitment through word-of-mouth, employee referrals and internal promotions.

Internet recruitment accounts for roughly 20% of Old Chicago Restaurant hires, with the majority of leads coming from Hcareers.com. On a monthly basis, the national chain receives 20 to 30 resumes from the restaurant-specific job board alone.
Hcareers.com stood out from other job sites because it is targeted and has overwhelming customer support, said Alex Schmit, manager of recruiting at Old Chicago Restaurants. Hcareers customized its service to suit our specific recruiting needs.

Hcareers.com is a better alternative to tradition newspaper advertising - it delivers immediate results at far less expense, said David Curry, president and CEO of Hcareers.com. Prior to working with Hcareers.com a single Sunday advertisement in a major US newspaper would cost Old Chicago Restaurants, on average, $1,300. For 5% of this price, the restaurant chain can receive experienced candidates by posting a 45-day listings on our site.
