How to get hired Live takes place on Tuesday 22 April at Wembley Stadium and is brought to you by TARGETjobs and Bright Futures.

600 undergraduates from different degree courses and different universities will join 100 graduate recruiters for a day of inspirational presentations, group discussion and networking.

The National Union of Students (NUS) is campaigning this year for a New Deal For Work and so we are delighted to welcome them onto the programme alongside some of the best-known names in graduate recruitment – Rolls-Royce, KPMG, Clifford Chance, Centrica, Oliver Wyman and Barclays. Representing nearly every HE and FE students’ union in the UK, NUS is uniquely placed to promote the need for students to focus on developing employability awareness, skills and experience.

How to get hired Live is fronted by the BBC Radio One presenter Aled Haydn Jones who will introduce the main themes, inspire the debate and guide the speakers as they share a wealth of jobseeking advice that simply is not available to students anywhere else. There hasn’t been anything quite like How to get hired Live – a multimedia experience which aims to increase participants’ employability by giving them access to unique insights from inspirational people.

Raechel Mattey, NUS vice president (union development) said: “With youth unemployment over the one million mark, and students growing more pessimistic about their employment prospects after studying, it’s important that students gather as much information and advice as possible about their options. Being able to network with industry experts at How to get Hired Live will be invaluable to students and will really help increase their knowledge of the employment landscape.”
