NowCareersUSA have aggressive goals for 2004

Over the last several years, job-seekers and employers have both discovered the power of the internet. Job-seekers are turning to the internet as a means of researching potential employers and industries. When they do so they find that virtually all of the nation’s largest employers include a wealth of information on their website including career information and online application options with their company. Employers have learned that the internet can and does reduce recruiting and cost-per-hire expenses. Online applications save time for job-seekers and provide employers with quick access to the best applicants for any given position in their company.

Launched in June, 2003, NowCareersUSA has grown into one of the internet’s most comprehensive webwsites for job-seekers. Unlike most employment websites, NowCareersUSA is structured for employers, designed to drive job-seekers to the career pages of employers in a given job market. It now lists links to over 6800 employers in over 200 job markets and announced plans to expand their database to include over 25,000 empolyers by December 31, 2004. Their plans include increasing the number of corporate links for each of the nation’s 100 largest job markets to two hundred and fifty employers.

Glen Broyles, president of NowCareersUSA, stresses that NowCareersUSA does not provide the same services found on most employment websites, services that are designed to maximize the job-seekers visit to their website. The singular focus of NowCareersUSA is for the job-seeker to select a job market to explore, click on an industry category of interest and then search potential employers. Every employment link on NowCareersUSA is a link to a corporate website, a link to the career pages of a specific employer. NowCareersUSA strives to provide job-seekers with quick access to corporate websites so that individual companies can maximize the power of their website as a recruiting tool.

Glen Broyles states, The single best applicant for most positions in most companies is a local applicant who has researched the company by visiting their website. NowCareersUSA is designed for the local job-seeker and for the local employer. For any given job market, large national employers and smaller local operations are provided with the same opportunity to reach out to local job seekers and potential applicants.

To achieve their database objectives, Glen Broyles states that NowCareersUSA will increase their advertising budget by 500%, increasing their visibility in a given job market. They will also focus on the Pacific Northwest during the first quarter as NowCareersUSA is based out of Olympia, Washington. Their plans also include new promotional rates to list on their website, including a free bonus year for all new listings in 2004.
