New Think Tank forum brings e-recruiters together

In May 2004, T-Mobile hosted what will hopefully become the leading forum for corporate e-recruitment specialists - and what a success the day was!

The idea, initiated by the e-recruitment team at T-Mobile, was for an innovative forum for corporate recruiters at the forefront of e-recruitment thinking. It created an opportunity for corporates to benchmark against one another, to share best practice and come together to move the industry forward. Since the closure of IRNA a year ago, no such forum existed. Consequently the concept was well received by many.

Companies such as GSK, AstraZeneca, Siemens, T-Mobile along with a number of other large corporations and suppliers were invited to bring their practical experience and broad knowledge of e-recruitment to a round table discussion, to explore issues such as ëindustry benchmarkingí, candidate relationship managementí and ësupplier managementí.

Providing the chance for e-recruitment experts to meet face-to-face, Catherine Walker, e-recruitment manager at T-Mobile believed the forum was well received.

ìThank you to all of the companies that participated in the event and made it such a success. With such enthusiastic support for the day and as a result of interest from a huge number of other leading companies, we can indeed move our industry into the forefront of e-recruitmentî.

The next e-recruitment Think Tank forum is due to be held and hosted by GSK in September and will be held quarterly. For any further information, please contact Coral Wallace from T-Mobile at coral.wallace@t-mobile.co.uk.
