Steve Playford has been promoted to Recruitment Group Head at Telegraph Group Limited, following a restructure of its Classified Advertising department.
Steve has responsibility for recruitment advertising for The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and jobs.telegraph.co.uk. He oversees a 17-strong team.
Steve has worked at Telegraph Group Limited for more than 10 years, joining in 1993 as a telesales executive. Since then he has been a field sales representative for both recruitment and motoring. Prior to his new position, Steve was motoring manager for five years.
Commenting on his promotion, Steve said: ìI am delighted to be joining the recruitment team at such an exciting time. Business 2 Jobs has gone from strength to strength and our new single vacancy rate has opened the door to many new advertisers who have successfully filled positions with us.
