New recruitment agency, Dilectus, specialising in quantity surveyors and other commercial staff within the house build sector, began operating last week, promising to transform the way the industry recruits.
Created by recruitment specialist Matthew Smith, Dilectus has a unique approach to recruitment. ìWhat makes Dilectus different to any other recruitment company that I have come across, is that we donít advertise; we headhunt individuals for a specific position which means that their CVs are not already in circulation,î explained Smith.
ìA common problem with recruitment is that agencies donít always ensure that the candidate actually wants to go for an interview before sending their CV over. This results in a large amount of time wasted by managers in reading CVís for candidates who have actually no interest in the role. Our philosophy is to always tell our candidates who the job is with right from the outset, so that we can assure the client that all of the candidates have specified an interest in the company and can therefore guarantee interviews should they be of interest.î
Based in Sheffield, Dilectus plans to develop extensive relationships with all of the major house builders, focussing initially on the South East and North West of England. Matthew Smith has been working in recruitment for over five years, specialising in the building and construction sectors for the past two years.
