Moorepay Acquires First Business Support

Moorepay, the largest supplier of SME payroll services in the UK and the SME division of Northgate Group, today announced it has acquired First Business Support (FBS).

FBS is an established provider of employment law and health and safety advice to SMEs. Since its launch in 1995, the 140 FBS staff support more than 2,000 clients as varied as Reliance Security to Stringfellows who rely on its services to support their legal needs.

ìThe acquisition of FBS furthers the breadth of services Moorepay provides its customers. We have created a larger foothold in the employment services market and through this purchase, we have an estimated 11% share of this growing market,î says Kay Mason, divisional managing director, Moorepay.

Newly appointed managing director of employment services, Dean Gardner will oversee FBS and Moorepayís Employment Services Team. He previously held senior positions in the public services division at Northgate.
