Monster.co.uk partners with iVillage.co.uk - 05/2001

Reaching all audiences

Monster.co.uk has announced its one-year partnership with iVillage.co.uk - the leading destination for women online.

The new relationship with iVillage forms part of Monster.co.ukís overall career management strategy to offer sound, professional advice at every stage of our working lives. This reflects Monster.co.ukís belief in the importance of reaching all audiences and demographic groups, and providing services to communities where they want to receive them. A recent survey by the DTIís forecasting agency, Foresight, heralds Monster.co.uk as one of the 10 most recognised of all websites in the UK among women.

iVillage has recently launched its UK site, at a time when the number of women accessing the Internet is rising. A further survey by Foresight concluded that women aged 25-40 make up 60% of all new Internet users, and the trend is set to continue - women are expected to account for 60% of all online users in the UK by 2005. The Internet is no longer being seen as a male preserve, but is being used, particularly by women as a tool.

The co-branded site can be found on iVillage.co.ukís Work & Career channel (http://ivillage.monster.co.uk). iVillage UK and Monster.co.uk will provide iVillage members with up-to-date information on thousands of job vacancies in the UK and around the world, providing added value to iVillage UKís wealth of information.

Services on the co-branded area will consist of:
- Job Search database - access to Monster jobs globally - 480,000 positions and over 15,000 in the UK alone.
- Job Search agent - ability to search for the job you really want.
- CV builder - design and manage your own CV (and privacy).
- Post a Job - a service for potential clients.

Hillary Graves, managing director of iVillage UK said, ìPartnering with Monster.co.uk allows us to provide another resource for our members. iVillage aims to simplify womenís lives, so having a job search facility fits perfectly within our strategy and complements the expert advice and community resources on the Work & Career channel.î
