Monster.co.uk hits one million CVs

Monster.co.uk has announced that Charles Cullen has become the millionth person to post their CV on Monster.co.uk.

Monster.co.uk, the leading online careers site and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide (NASDAQ: MNST), today announced that Charles Cullen has become the millionth person to post their CV on Monster.co.uk.

It has taken Monster.co.uk less than two years to double the number of CVs registered on the site, an achievement which demonstrates the increasing popularity of Monster and online recruitment in general. Since its launch in 1996, Monster.co.uk has helped thousands of people find employment throughout the UK and abroad.

Joe Slavin, managing director, Monster.co.uk, said: The key to Monster’s success lies not only in the wide range of jobs advertised on the site, but also the broad pool of talent that employers can tap into through Monster’s CV database. Also, enhancements such as our new targeted CV search enable recruiters to find the exact candidates they need. For example, if a client wants to hire someone who has worked for their competitors, with certain specific qualifications, as well as having attended a certain university, they will only receive CVs of candidates who meet this criteria.

Charles Cullen, the millionth person to post their CV on Monster.co.uk, is pursuing a career in veterinary and medical marketing. He said, I am delighted to hear I am the millionth person to put my CV on Monster. I’ve found that the My Monster* service gives you the freedom of self-managing the job hunting process, and it also enables you to see what is available not only in the UK but around the world. To me, what’s so unique about Monster is the broad range of jobs posted - being a veterinary marketing manager, Monster seemed to be the only online recruitment company with the scope for such opportunities.

Robert Abel, Corporate Recruiter-EMEA, Symantec Corporation, comments: We’ve found that online recruitment is effective not only from a cost and time saving perspective, but also in recruiting the best talent. Sites such as Monster have streamlined the way that companies can access this talent, and we are already seeing CV databases as an invaluable resource.
