Monster makes it to the super bowl for sixth straight year

Monster to kick-off Super Bowl creative before one of the largest television audiences of the year Monster, the global online careers site and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST) has announced it is doubling its presence for Super Bowl XXXVIII. Monster helped to established itself with the award-winning When I Grow Up spot in 1999 and five years later, the company is a highly regarded perennial Super Bowl advertiser. In 2004, Monster returns to the Super Bowl to debut creative by its new advertising agency of record, Deutsch Inc. of New York.

Monster’s Super Bowl package includes three :30 second spots - one during the pre-game show and two during the game.Advertising during the Super Bowl is a perfect platform for us to reach a broad audience, with an anticipated viewership of nearly 140 million people, comprised of all types of job seekers and employers, said Jeff Taylor, founder and chief monster. 2003 Post Super Bowl Traffic HighlightsFollowing Super Bowl XXXVII on January 26, 2003, Monster’s site traffic increased substantially. Highlights include: Resume Submissions: 53,510 resumes were submitted to the site on Monday, January 27th, the day after the Game. The next day, Tuesday, January 28th, that resume total was exceeded, with a then-record 54,047 resume submissions to Monster. This represents a 142 percent increase from the day prior to the Super Bowl, when 22,347 resumes were posted. Unique Visits: In the 24-hour period following the Game, Monster received 2,386,305 unique visits according to I/PRO, besting the day prior to the Super Bowl by 149 percent.


Page Views: According to I/PRO, Monster recorded 28,778,558 page views during the day after the Super Bowl. The next day (Tuesday), there were 29,780,943 page views on the Monster site. This is an increase of 142 percent over the 12,297,037 page views the day before the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XXXVIII will take place on February 1, 2004 in Houston, Texas and will be aired live on the CBS network.
