Monster Kicks-Off 2003 at Super Bowl

5th Consecutive Year as a Super Bowl Advertiser



Monster(R), the global online careers site and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: TMPW), has announced that it is returning to the Super Bowl. The 2003 appearance marks Monster''s fifth straight year in the biggest advertising event of the year.

The 30-second spot, currently under development, will appeal to both job seekers and employers, highlighting the way Monster continues to revolutionize the world of work. The theme of the spot will focus on Monster''s ability to connect job seekers at all levels with employment opportunities in a wide range of industries.

Returning for the fifth straight year further solidifies Monster''s position as a perennial Super Bowl advertiser, said Jeff Taylor, founder and chairman of Monster. We are thrilled to begin 2003 as an advertiser in the nation''s biggest television event of the year, bringing Monster''s message of `Never Settle'' to an extensive audience. Our continued involvement in major events like the Super Bowl and the Olympics drives Monster''s presence to the level of the world''s top brands.

Following last year''s Super Bowl, Monster''s traffic levels greatly increased. In the 24-hour period after the Game, Monster recorded 28,250,035 page views, which represented an increase of 167% from the day before and an increase of 57% from the number of page views after the 2001 Super Bowl. Job seeker members increased 93% the day after the Game, while resume submissions increased 84%. Additionally, according to Media Metrix, Monster was the most visited online careers site during Super Bowl weekend with 999,000 unique visitors, nearly 60% more than its nearest competitor.

Super Bowl XXXVII will air live January 26, 2003 on the ABC Network from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.
