Launched at the beginning of November 1999, www.Jobs-at.co.uk has produced a meteoric rise from a standing start. To date 135 UK recruitment agencies have joined the website which features on-line applications to jobs posted by the agencies.
Since start up, one agency received over 500 direct applications. Lynne Belchamber, the www.Jobs-at.co.uk Web Master, says: Certainly we see it in the growth of our hit rate, which was up again in January to over 60,000, but the real fascination is the average length of user session which has increased to 7.5 minutes, indicating that people are using the site as a real recruitment tool rather than taking a quick look, just out of passing interest.
For the recruitment agency, where else can you get that level of exposure for 15.00 VAT a week. This wouldn't buy a lineage ad in a newspaper and include unlimited vacancy advertising in an attractive display layout, agency logo in corporate colours, a free link to an agency's own website and access to unlimited full CVs.
