Lawspeed launches new information forum for recruiters

.

A new website aimed at recruiters is being launched this week. Agencyzone, which is well known to recruiters as a regular newsletter on legal and commercial topics, goes live at www.agencyzone.co.uk. Several hundred recruiters have already registered with the site which will provide a forum on recruitment industry issues.

Adrian Marlowe, managing director of specialist legal and commercial consultancy Lawspeed, which is backing the new service, commented, ëItís clear from our discussions with clients on a day to day basis that there is a need for a forum of this nature. Recruiters need to be able to discuss problems and issues and seek ideas for resolution of them, so we have devised Agencyzone to provide this important resource. In the context of the new EAA regulations the Agencyzone forum is the ideal opportunity for recruiters to debate the implications of the EAA Regulationsí

Recruiters registering with Agencyzone will be able to comment on developments within the industry as well as getting new ideas about how to improve their business. Adrian Marlowe added, ëThe new Regulations are the most pressing topic for most people at the moment. There are still a number of unresolved issues, many of which have been discussed in detail at Lawspeedís recent seminars as well as on the website. For example, although the Regulations allow limited company contractors to opt out, they do not on the face of it at the same time exclude the operation of the Regulations as between employment business and the client. Issues such as these could easily have been resolved by using clearer wording in the legislation so avoiding any argument. Although the DTI guidance is designed to help it still leaves many questions unanswered. The collection of shared information on our Agencyzone website hopefully may help.í

Agencyzone aims not only to deal with legal and regulatory issues. It will also be dealing with training and HR topics. To register go to
