UK regional trade estimates dropped by 1,279m for EU Exports between quarter four 2003 and quarter one 2004.

UK regional trade estimates dropped by 1,279m for EU Exports between quarter four 2003 and quarter one 2004. There was a decrease for EU exports in ten of the UK countries and regions, with only two regions, North West and Yorkshire and the Humber, experiencing an increase. For Non-EU Exports there was a decrease of 3,330m, with decreases in ten of the twelve countries and regions within the UK.

The only countries and regions experiencing an increase were London and Wales. There was an overall decrease of 1,625m for EU Imports between quarter four 2003 and quarter one 2004. Decreases were found in all twelve countries and regions. For Non-EU Imports there was a decrease of 1,268m with decreases in nine of the regions and countries. There were increases in North East, West Midlands and the East of England.
