Key harnesses the power of the Internet for e-recruitment

The use of the Internet as a tool for recruitment has become a very appealing proposition to Nottingham-based recruitment company Key Personnel

With the ubiquity of the internet, the pervasion of broadband and the availability of increasingly intelligent software, the use of the Internet as a tool for recruitment has become a very appealing proposition to Nottingham-based recruitment company Key Personnel. So much so that the company is relaunching its website, optimised for online recruitment and sporting a new corporate identity.

ìThe new website is being developed in response to customer demand and to the general direction of the market, but also in recognition of what it can add to our offering,î said Pam Pindar, Managing Director of Key Personnel.
ìKey Personnel has surveyed some of its candidates to find out what was important when the used a recruitment web site, the following points appeared to be the most important

How user friendly the site is
Fast and accurate job searches
A simplified format
Useful information

With these factors in mind the new Key Personnel site has been redeveloped and now fulfils all of the above criteria. Clearly the reach of the internet and the fact that positions can be posted almost immediately means that we are able to reach more candidates, more quickly, and more effectively, in response to briefs from our clients. This will enable us satisfy both parties more quickly, but as a recruitment tool the website will offer a great deal more besides.

By automating the process of application sifting, or even more advanced skills assessment, the website can be used to process candidates more quickly in order to speed up the initial part of the selection process. It will also enable us to interact with more candidates on a regular basis.

At the heart of our philosophy is finding the right candidate for the role, regardless of whether that person is currently on our books. Because online job hunting is both private and convenient, an effective online presence will increase our ability to draw in ëpassive job seekersí ñ high quality candidates who are interested in whatís out there but havenít embarked on a full-on campaign. All in all, it will provide an addition tool for faster, more effective recruitment which will benefit both employers and candidates.î

Key Personnel has been providing Temporary and Permanent staff to companies in the East Midlands for nearly 20 years. The company now has branches in Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and Newark.
