Jobsite brand holds strong over holiday period

.

Jobsite.co.uk, UK based online recruitment website has announced a leading market share in the UK online recruitment sector over the holiday period.

On both Christmas Day and New Yearís Day Jobsite received the highest market share in the UK online recruitment industry according to Hitwise ñ the competitive intelligence service.

Jobsite achieved a market share of 7.89% on Christmas Day 2003 and 7.28% on New Years Day 2004, traditionally two of the quietest days of the year.

Most significantly however is that the strength of the Jobsite brand among UK internet users became apparent as Jobsite managed to achieve this level without any live advertising and also without its Job-by-Email service being distributed.

Keith Potts, Jobsite managing director, comments: ìWhen I noticed the huge market share that we managed to achieve on these two days I was genuinely surprised.

ìNormally we are achieving this level of market share on a daily basis, but a major influencer on our traffic is our Jobs-by-Email service. We have over 685,000 Jobs-by-Emails being delivered every day, but what most people donít realise is that the system works based on the jobs that are posted each day. As so few jobs were posted on Christmas Eve and New Yearís Eve, very few Jobs-by-Email went out.

ìThis goes to show that Jobsite has built up a strong and loyal brand following, the development of which we are fully committed towards.î
