ISC launches online recruitment

.

The Independent Schools Council (ISC), representing the five major associations of independent school heads, has launched ISC Vacancies Online. Working with leading education recruitment solutions provider, Eteach UK Ltd. This will provide an internet recruitment platform for all 1,280 ISC schools.

The launch of ISC Vacancies Online follows the successful piloting of the service earlier this year by the Headmastersí and Headmistressesí Conference (HMC). The initiative was supported by over three quarters of HMCís 240 member schools at launch. Within a few months, HMC schools have advertised hundreds of vacancies using the service.

Now ISC is building on the success of the HMC service by launching ISC Vacancies Online. Powered by Eteach, the service uses Internet technology to give schools a low-cost and efficient advertising service with the ability to target their recruitment at teachers working within the independent sector. At the same time, it provides teachers with easy access to vacancies in ISC schools.

ìWeíre very excited about this new initiative,î said Alistair Cooke, General Secretary of ISC. ìNot only will it help schools to recruit teachers quickly and cost-effectively, it will help teachers to develop their career within the independent sector, benefiting all of our membersî

The service works by enabling schools to advertise vacancies through the ISC website. Schools can also choose to access the service through the websites of member organisations GSA, HMC, IAPS, ISA, and SHMIS. Each advertisement is automatically posted on the websites of all of the participating organisations and across the internet on a range of teacher websites including NUT, PAT and ATL.

Each advertisement appears automatically in the national press via The Independentís Education Supplement. In addition, all ISC schools receive a weekly email bulletin that gives them an overview of every job advertised by ISC member schools.
