Irishjobs.ie tops online recruitment market

For 8th successive year with a quarter of a million jobseekers

Results from an independent audit of the Irishjobs.ie website by ABCe (Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic division) has shown that almost a quarter of a million different jobseekers visited Irishjobs.ie in January 2003.

This represents the busiest month ever for any Irish recruitment website and a new visitor to the website every 6 seconds of every day. The website currently has over 17,000 jobs advertised by 450 companies and recruitment agencies.

The audit figures show that the site had in excess of 4.72 million page impressions from 463,654 visits to the site by 249,787 different jobseekers in January 2003.
This represents a 19% increase in the number of people using the site since Irishjobs.ieís last audit, just 4 months ago in October 2002. In addition, there is a minimum of 6,000 job applications going through the site every day.

Commenting on the figures Maria Mahon, Chief Executive of Irishjobs.ie said that the results demonstrate the continued success of Irishjobs.ie in the recruitment-advertising sector, and the need and demand for such a recruitment platform, given the Internetís increasing popularity with jobseekers and recruiters alike.
