Internet feedback raises performance

Employee appraisal has come full circle with the launch of a job-specific ë360í feedback system that can be used by anyone with internet access.

Internet Perspectives allows staff to gain objective feedback from managers, peers, subordinates and customers, creating greater opportunities to succeed in their jobs.

The innovation, from Manchester-based Robertson Cooper ñ the countryís fastest growing business psychology company ñ means 360 feedback is suitable for organisations of all sizes, regardless of whether they have their own ëintranetí systems.

ìThis 360 feedback system not only enables employees to gather comprehensive and specific performance data from their boss and colleagues through to their customers, it also provides results which will enable them to identify how to target specific development needs to boost career prospects,î said Ben Moss, Product Development Manager.

ìFor the employer, Internet Perspectives enables the effective targeting of resources on training and development, reducing the administrative burden of appraisal interviews and creating a reliable springboard for improving the individualís performance.î

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) strongly recommends employers to adopt a best practice 360 approach to appraisal. In the DTIís Best Practice guidelines, several case studies highlight organisations already using systems based on the Perspectives software.

ìThe advantage of Internet Perspectives is that it’s a non-technical piece of software which provides clear and concise feedback, tailored to the client’s own competencies,î added Ben Moss. ìThe system can be pay-as-you-go and is web- based, which means the software can be accessed via any computer with an internet connection from any location in the world. This enhances flexibility and reduces costs. The result is improved performance, which translates into improved bottom line.î

Robertson Cooper aims to maximise the wellbeing and performance of people at work.
