IMD International Search & Consulting launches worldwide survey -

IMD to reveal the secrets behind the phenomenal growth of expats in the workplace

IMD International Search & Consulting are about to reveal the secrets behind the phenomenal growth of expats in the workplace. Their 2004 study on the international mobility of executive talent will explore the reasons behind the moving of senior talent around a business globally as well as what skills are needed internationally and the support systems that companies are or should be providing.

ìThis survey has been devised at the request of our clientsî said Sherilyn Shackell of Highfield Human Solutions, iMDís UK Partner, ìthe need for talent to be utilised on a global basis by international companies has resulted in a large rise in the number of Executives who are working on overseas secondments. Businesses are recognising the benefits in sharing talent across international boarders, which not only reduces overall costs, but also increases the skills and commercial knowledge in the local market places. Our clients are interested in finding out what motivates executive talent to move, and how they too can benefit from thisî

The survey will be undertaken in countries around the world, and participants will be personally invited to partake in the survey ëon lineí. Sherilyn continues ì We will be analysing the results over the summer, and sending copies of our findings to our clients and participants, to assist them in creating strategies aimed at attracting, retaining and developing top executives in an increasingly international talent pool.î

If you are interested in participating in the survey the questionnaire can be found at
