IACPR conference launches ground breaking initiative in executive recruiting

.

The International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) announces its Silver Anniversary Conference and the launch of a groundbreaking initiative, to formally position itself as the foremost resource for Best Practices in executive recruitment, retention and leadership development. The Conference, titled ìFutureQuest 2003, The Corporation and Executive Search-Advancing the Partnershipî, will be held at Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York City on October 19-21.

For the first time, under the authorship of IACPR, senior executives from blue chip corporations and leaders from the executive search industry will develop the definitive document for the entire Recruiting Process. The conference brings together world-class speakers from the Executive Suite, Corporate Human Resources and the major Executive Search Firms, to speak on the topics that will serve as the platform for the Best Practices initiative. Featured speakers will include:
Gary Matthews, President, Worldwide Consumer Medicines, Bristol-Myers Squibb
Beth Axelrod, Chief Talent Officer, WPP Industries, former member of McKinsey’s War for Talent team
Steve Kerr, Chief Learning Officer and Managing Director, Goldman Sachs and former Vice President of Corporate Leadership and Development for General Electric.
Lucien Alziari, Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer, PepsiCo Corporate
Carl Haacke, New York Times Job Market Economist & former White House Economist
Jim Citrin, Managing Director, Spencer Stuart and author of ìThe 5 Patterns of Extraordinary Careersî

IACPR will utilize the discussion results from the conference to launch the development and, ultimately, the publication of the most comprehensive document ever written to advance the partnership between corporate and professional recruiters. Further, it will lay the groundwork for a potential certification effort, and eventually, the basis for a college-level program in a Human Resource curriculum.
