Hot group plc aquires Net Recruit UK

AIM listed recruitment specialists, hot group plc, is acquiring Net Recruit UK for 450,000, in a cash and share deal. Based in Woking, Surrey, Netrecruit (www.netrecruituk.com) publishes a network of specialist recruitment websites targeting various niche markets in the 18 to 28 year old demographic.

Like ëThe Graduateí, which we acquired at the beginning of the year, Netrecruit comes with a solid customer base that will further strengthen our employerís direct product and also increases our traffic significantly.

Established in 2001, Netrecruit has 130,000 registered users and in the year to 31 December 2003, generated revenues in excess of 200,000. Clients include Compass Group, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Mark Warner, Thomas Cook, Halifax Building Society and Girlguiding UK. Founder Andrew Bird will be joining hot as head of e-marketing.

Andrew Bird has 19 years experience in high volume seasonal recruitment and eight years experience of online marketing. He has held a number of directorship positions including Group Director of Kingswood Group, which was the first activity holiday company to launch a comprehensive online brochure & booking service.
