Hcareers.com fuels the CRFA''s online job board engine

.

Canadian restaurants will benefit from larger pool of qualified candidates

Hcareers.com and the Canadian Restaurant and Food Services Association (CRFA) have joined forces to power an online job board for more than 16,000 association members.

The new site allows employers to reach restaurant industry job seekers easily and cost-effectively, and job seekers to search Canada''s largest database of restaurant jobs. The new recruiting service can be found online at www.crfa.ca/careers.

The alliance cuts recruitment costs for CRFA members who will receive an exclusive CAD$129 per posting rate (normally CAD$225). Openings listed are automatically cross-posted on both CRFA.ca and Hcareers.ca, which provides a larger restaurant job seeker readership than any local newspaper classified section in Canada. This deal follows Hcareers.com''s 2002 partnership with the US National Restaurant Association to power the world''s largest restaurant job bank.

As the dominant restaurant industry job board, Hcareers is the perfect partner to support the CRFA''s online recruitment initiative, said David Harris, executive vice president of the Canadian Restaurant and Food Services Association. Partnering with Hcareers, and offering members a 42% Internet recruitment discount will provide the most cost-effective way to find qualified professionals across the country. Our new job bank will additionally provide job seekers with access to the most Canadian restaurant jobs anywhere.

Selected to partner with Canada''s national restaurant association is a great testament to Hcareers'' leadership in restaurant recruitment, said David Curry, president and CEO of Hcareers.com. The CRFA joins a growing number of organizations who are realizing that the Internet delivers quality candidates far more effectively than traditional mediums. A job posting placed on CRFA.ca and Hcareers.ca reaches more Canadian hospitality job seekers than any Canadian newspaper, for far less the cost.

With annual sales of more than $42 billion, food service represents 4% of Canada''s gross domestic product. The food service industry employs 1,020,700 Canadians, or 6.6% of the country''s workforce. There are nearly 64,000 food service establishments in Canada. The majority - about 64% - are independently owned and operated.

About the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservice Association CRFA is Canada''s largest hospitality association with 16,500 members representing restaurants, bars, hotels, caterers, institutions, educators and foodservice suppliers. Canada''s $42 billion restaurant and foodservice industry employs more than one million Canadians.
