Guardian Unlimited is to launch a new jobs match service supported by the Institute of Fundraising. Guardian Unlimited''s new web-based service, Guardian.co.uk/fundraising, will provide an online database for fundraisers and employers who need their skills.

The site will be promoted by an innovative online marketing campaign, designed by Tribal DDB, which is a fundraising device in itself. Banner ads across Guardian Unlimited will invite users to click through to the jobs site. Each time a user clicks on the banner, 5p is donated to
WaterAid, one of GNL''s supported charities. The site will also be promoted by in-paper advertising and at industry events.

Simon Waldman, Director of Digital Publishing for GNL, said: This is a smart new recruitment solution, offering print and online packages to recruiters ranging from small charities to major players. Through our marketing and communications we will be encouraging job seekers who work in a range of sectors to consider becoming professional fundraisers. By linking up with the Institute of Fundraising we are able to draw on their expertise in highlighting the merits of working in fundraising.

Lindsay Boswell, Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising, added:
Fundraising is a major area of growth and there is a real shortage of quality candidates at the moment. This initiative will help other high quality people with relevant experience to make the step across from the
commercial world to the voluntary sector. The vast majority of fundraisers bring experience of other walks of life to their jobs helping transform the lives of others.

Employers can have their vacancies matched to candidates with the same skills and have the vacancy sent directly to relevant candidates.

During the launch period, any organisation advertising a fundraising position in The Guardian Newspaper will have the job sent free of charge to relevant candidates signed up to this service.

Candidates can register their profile, outline their qualifications and experience and receive details by e-mail of vacancies that match their skills as well as viewing job opportunities on the site.

The site, built by Interbase, will feature extensive editorial, consisting of practical and specific career guides for those considering a career in fund raising.
