GSA Computer Consultants adopt the iProfile

.

GSA Computer Consultants, a specialist IT and Telecoms recruitment company, have announced that they have signed to become iProfile Compatible in order to provide their clients and candidates with a much faster and more responsive recruitment service.

Formed in 1992 and based in Birmingham, GSA has grown as a result of its continual investment in its products and services, and by becoming iProfile Compatible the company will be able to streamline its data processing costs, dramatically improve the quality of its candidate database and provide its consultants with the tools to make more placements.

The iProfile is ìthe online CVî that has been adopted by the IT recruitment industry as a standard format for the CV. Since its launch in 2002, more than 650,000 IT professionals now own an iProfile and over 20% of UK IT recruitment companies are compatible with it, including 7 of the top 20.

iProfile Compatible agencies are currently reporting that up to 50% of their database is being automatically updated on day one of them adopting the iProfile and that their consultantsí short-listing time is being reduced by up to a halve.

Marcus Dawson, Managing Director of GSA, explained: ëëweíd been looking for a solution to the data problem for some time. As far back as 2000 we realised that the expansion of e-mail and the Internet would significantly increase the volume of data flowing into the business and that we would have a major problem controlling the quality and maintaining the currency of that data.

Until now, our options were limited; we could recruit additional administrators, devise our own technical solution or just live with the problem. We chose the latter because in the economic climate since 2001 the other options were not financially viable. Now I believe we have found an affordable solution that will increase our effectiveness in the market place and raise our service levels higher’’.
