and take part in the current research

The IAB/PWC audit has run since 1997 and is the official barometer for online media spend. The research measures the industry based on recorded revenues reported by the finance departments of online media owners - excluding production costs. It is the only authoritative financial source for the size of the UK market and has always been used as the definitive source by the ad industry. All of the leading companies take part and use this as part of their business planning. As a business involved in online recruitment, we are particularly keen to see your recruitment revenues included in these official industry figures. With more and more businesses using online communications, there is a powerful story to tell and it is critical that every company contributes.

If you are taking part, you can access the research paper we have written that explains the trends behind the dotcom boom and the new acceleration in the industry. This is available to all participants from our support team at Secretariat@iabuk.net. They can also send you the research slides from the 2002 phase along with our talking points for directors giving company briefings or press interviews.
The most important numbers are the total revenues for Q3 and Q4 of 2003. We have asked you to split out your total online recruitment revenue from recruitment advertising.
The way to take part is simple. Contact us at mediaspend@iabuk.net or ask for Laurence Bour, our Head of Research, on 020 7886 8280. We will send you the information pack. All you need to do is complete the spreadsheet and return it to PWC.
