fish4jobs is to become the exclusive online jobs content provider for Yahoo! UK & Ireland

fish4jobs is to become the exclusive online jobs content provider for Yahoo! UK & Ireland (yahoo.co.uk/careers) from 7 June 2004. The agreement is expected to significantly increase traffic to fish4jobs, which is currently the most visited site in the online recruitment sector, with 1.2 million visitors per month.

fish4jobs will exclusively replace Yahoo!ís previous careers channel content providers. Experience from the US shows that the reach of the Yahoo! careers channel increased ten fold when it moved from supporting a number of partners to featuring one recruitment brand. The 12 month agreement also covers the careers channel on the BT Yahoo! Broadband site.

The agreement extends fish4jobs widespread promotion that already encompasses extensive advertising across 600 local newspapers, which are read by 38.1 million people every week. Each vacancy advertised on fish4jobs is also placed on interactive TV services from Sky, NTL & Telewest, leading web portals such as Lycos, and on a network of 141 local websites ñ powered by the regional press.

Simon Devitt, publishing director for fish4jobs comments, ìWeíre delighted to be working with Yahoo!. This agreement will add real value to our recruitment clients by giving their vacancies access to a whole new audience, which will generate more quality applications from across the UK.î

Alison Reay, sales director of Yahoo! UK & Ireland, says: ìWhen selecting a jobs partner we recognised that fish4jobs was a clear leader in their sector, with a strong brand identity and user friendly site . With many of the UKís leading recruiters advertising on fish4jobs, our 15 million users will have access to even better careers content, features and appointments.î
