FDM Academy Training programme receives industry seal of approval

Global IT services company, FDM, today announced that its Academy training programme has received accreditation from the Institute of Information Technology Training (IITT). This official endorsement is given to companies that prove competence in clearly defined training skills and demonstrate the required technical expertise. FDM Academy has already achieved IS0 9001/2 accreditation however this is its first industry specific accreditation.

The FDM Academy has been in existence for 20 years and provides individuals with training in the latest IT programming skills, leading to a career as an FDM developer. The Academy takes a blended approach to learning which combines e-learning with traditional class room based tuition. This enables students to complete a large part of the course from home.

FDM is now recognised as an IITT Accredited Open Learning Centre. This means that The IITT will provide FDM with best practise guidelines, advice and objectives enabling the training centre to focus on areas for potential improvement of its service. FDM will display the IITT logo in literature and promotions as well as appearing on the Institute’s Web site.

The IITT is an independent professional body that exists to provide a membership structure and industry standards for all companies involved in IT training. Working in conjunction with the National Computer Centre it ensures its standards are accepted against defined competency frameworks.

Producing course graduates who are trained to a commercial standard acceptable throughout the industry is of paramount importance to many organisations.
