Director General, UK Visas and Immigration to speak about the impact of Brexit on the UK recruitment industry at ARC network meeting

ARC is pleased to announce that Mark Thomson, Director General, UK Visas and Immigration will be the keynote speaker at our next network meeting on Wednesday 13th March at the CBI headquarters, London.

Commenting on the announcement, John Randall, ARC’s Communications Manager said, “With the UK scheduled to leave the European Union (EU) on the 29th March, many recruitment businesses, especially those that rely on supply labour from the EU, will be keen to hear from the person responsible about the likely impact that Brexit will have on the recruitment industry.”

Randall continues, “ With Mark’s insight into government strategy, the possibilities for the movement of labour and extensive knowledge of the Settlement Scheme for EU citizens, this event will be a must for recruiters wanting to plan for a post Brexit UK.”

Randall concludes “With UK recruitment businesses already struggling with a skills shortage, ARC’s primary objective is to support our members. In our post Brexit manifesto, we called on the government to promote a modern and progressive vision for the recruitment industry, to make the UK a better place to do business, to appeal as much to investors abroad as to those already based in the UK.”
