Content Alliance formed between Entrepreneur.com and startupJournal.com

CareerJournal.com to power job databases for Entrepreneur.com

CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's executive career site, and StartupJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's Center for Entrepreneurs, have formed an alliance with Entrepreneur.com, one of the largest and most popular small-business Web sites on the Internet. Under the agreement, CareerJournal.com will manage a new Entrepreneur.com online job and resume database center, and StartupJournal.com will supply content to a new StartupJournal.com center on Entrepreneur.com.

In addition, Entrepreneur.com will offer its Franchise 500 rankings prominently on StartupJournal.com. The Franchise 500 determines the top franchises based on financial strength and stability, growth rate and size of the system, the number of years in business and length of time franchising, start-up costs, litigation, percentage of terminations and whether the company provides financing.

We're excited to partner with Entrepreneur.com to offer the industry's best job database technology and editorial content to its visitors, said Tony Lee, editor -in chief and general manager of The Wall Street Journal Online Network, which includes both CareerJournal.com and StartupJournal.com. This partnership allows us to offer business owners crucial guidance on starting or buying a business or franchise.

This alliance joins our strong brands as we strive to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, says Chuck Fuller, vice president of development and advertising operations, Entrepreneur Media, Inc. in Irvine, Calif. By offering access to CareerJournal.com's national network of jobs and supplying vital start-up advice, we are helping small business owners thrive in today's tough economy.
The new StartupJournal.com section within Entrepreneur.com provides users with business-related news and information from leading industry gurus, small-business experts and corporate executives. In addition, StartupJournal.com will provide feature articles covering topics such as franchising, startup basics, technology and e-commerce, human resources, sales and marketing, legal and government, and finance.
