CareerXroads Co-Founder Recognized with Appointment to SHRM Expert Panel

.

Kendall Park, NJ, February 11, 2004 ñ CareerXroads co-founder, Gerry Crispin, was one of 15 staffing industry experts invited this year to collaborate in a newly created role with the 175,000 member Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). The 2004 Expert Panels are part of an evolving organizational structure approved by the SHRM board last June that ties the Associationís activities and services more closely to its mission of serving HR professionals and advancing the profession.

SHRM is reaching out to national and international experts in 12 areas of human resources. These expert panels will advise the SHRM board and staff on critical trends, public policy and offer an outside perspective on the associationís research and survey objectives. SHRM sought panelists for their recognized expertise and independent connection to professional networks. Crispin will participate on a year long panel devoted to Workforce Staffing and Deployment that is being oriented this month.

As an industry analyst, consultant and well-known speaker on staffing technology and strategy, Crispin has also been active as a SHRM volunteer leader for more than a decade. He is excited about the new structure within SHRM and commented that, ìSHRM has been on an incredible growth curve and this latest incarnation offers HR leaders and content experts significant opportunity to make a difference. There really isnít any other comparable model in the profession.î

Even before creating the CareerXroads consultancy with his partner Mark Mehler in the mid-90ís, Crispin was active with SHRM serving on its national board in 1999, as a committee chair and on the board of the Employment Management Association. He has presented at the national SHRM conference a total of eight times and, last year was named one of the Top 25 presenters when it was held in Orlando. He will be presenting again at this yearís conference in New Orleans in June.
