Careers and jobs live and the graduate recruitment fair

Olympia 2 and 3 November 2003

Careers and Jobs Live incorporating The Graduate Recruitment Fair is the leading series of recruitment, careers and training exhibitions in the UK. Building on the success of recent shows in Birmingham, Scotland and most recently, London ExCeL Docklands, Jarvis Exhibitions is gearing up for its biggest show ever at Olympia, November 2003.

The recent spring series of Jarvis shows was the best for nearly a decade with over 65,000 attending Careers & Jobs in Scotland at the Scottish Exhibition & Convention, Careers & Jobs Live at NEC Birmingham and London ExCeL. The London show featured high-profile visitors, Rt Hon Nick Brown MP, Minister of State for Work and Jim Fitzpatrick MP Poplar and Canning Town Constituency who toured the exhibition meeting both exhibitors and visitors
Careers and Jobs Live, now in its fourth decade, offers much more than the typical ’job shop’ exhibition. It covers every aspect of the recruitment process, establishing itself as the number one recruitment event. The show, which is free to attend for visitors, is recognised by both job seekers and employers as providing a vital link between education and the world of work.

Exhibition Director, Bruce Birchall explains: ìThe number of exhibitors returning again in 2003 is testament to the effectiveness of the show. The event has become an essential tool in the recruitment drives of participating companies where senior staff can see high volumes of talented people under one roof.î

The scale of the show offers employers and training providers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with a whole host of potential employees saving time, expense and making recruitment an efficient instead of longwinded process. It also enables candidates to ensure they are making the right choices, having met their future employer face to face and had the opportunity to see interactive displays, live demonstrations, presentations and seminars.
These events attract top quality job seekers and job changers. Also attending are those seeking advice or training opportunities as well as graduates, undergraduates, collage and school leavers.

The London Olympia fair will be promoted via a powerful marketing, advertising and PR campaign using regional and national newspaper and radio advertising, high profile coverage in magazines plus significant marketing via electronic mail, website links and direct mail.
