CABA launches 3 new courses to help ACA students, ICAEW members and their families

CABA, the charity supporting the wellbeing of chartered accountants, bolsters its personal development offering for ICAEW members and their families.

The charity is launching 3 new courses on supercharge your sleep, mindfulness for busy people and develop your self-awareness and improve your career. The courses are designed to help past and present ICAEW members and their families regain control in their lives, and take a more proactive approach to the challenges they face.

The first course on how to supercharge sleep, aims to help anyone who has difficulties with sleep understand what is keeping them up at night; and then put solutions in place to create ideal sleep conditions to boost daily energy and performance. The course will give attendees the ability to become an expert in their own sleep patterns, and appreciate optimal time for sleep, whilst exploring ways to switch off from distractions.

The second course, mindfulness for busy people, is designed for those who want to achieve a higher level of personal effectiveness. For those who feel they’re stressed or struggling to get everything done, this course can help them regain balance, enabling them to feel calmer and more productive through the use of mindfulness practices.

The final course, explores how attendees can develop self-awareness and improve their careers. It provides the opportunity to evaluate internal and external self-awareness, examining the benefits this can have for both personal and career success. Attendees will complete different activities to discover more about themselves and how they relate to others.

Laura Little, Learning and Development Manager at CABA commented:

‘Working in the accountancy sector can be intense, and can occasionally require long hours, to meet workplace commitments. When this becomes a regular occurrence, it’s easy for our work-life balance to tip too far towards work, which can ultimately have a negative effect on our physical and mental health. Our new courses are designed to help ACA students, ICAEW members and their families feel more in control of what’s happening, and what’s set to come.’

The free full day courses, available from April, will be available nationwide and you can book a place now.

Laura Little concluded:

’99.6% of past delegates said that after attending our courses, they were able to take positive steps to improve their wellbeing. We’re continuously developing our courses to ensure that our members feel enabled to do just that. No one has all the answers, and these courses can help past and present ICAEW members take proactive steps and come away feeling confident to deal with the challenges they face.’

Each course is delivered by an experienced trainer and tailored to meet the specific needs of attendees. After attending a full day course, attendees can access 3 free 1-2-1 coaching sessions with a CABA trainer, giving them the chance to explore areas that are most relevant in more detail.

The 3 new courses are in additional to CABA’s existing range of personal and professional development courses, which are also available to book online.
