New UK Managing Director Brings Rich Experience and Proven Performance to BrassRingís UK Operations

London August 24, 2000 ñ BrassRing, a leading provider of global talent management solutions, announced today that it has made the first appointment in a series of appointments designed to ensure a rapid expansion of its European footprint. The firm is responding aggressively to a growing demand for its software and services solutions throughout Europe. To support this expansion, BrassRing has appointed Jeremy Langley as its new Managing Director in the United Kingdom.

BrassRingís global expansion efforts began last year with the launch of an extended Pan-European Help Desk operation in the United Kingdom, the appointment of several new sales partners in the UK and Europe, new initiatives in France and Scandinavia, and the assignment of key engineering and project management resources in Amsterdam and Basel. In tandem with these efforts, the company signed two new major European clients: IKEA and Ernst & Young UK, adding to an illustrious list of multi-national companies that use its software and services in 60 countries. Another UK client, Diageo, will host the BrassRing European User Conference in Dublin this October.

ìBrassRing is projecting another significant year in terms of client engagements, new product offerings, and continued expansion into Europe,î Deb Besemer, president and CEO of BrassRing. ìOur UK operations are an integral part of our European growth, and we are delighted to have Jeremy join our team of global managers. Jeremy brings deep industry knowledge and a track record of tremendous success in business development. We are confident that his leadership will bring tangible value to our current and future clients in Europe.î

In his new position, Mr. Langley will be responsible for continuing to build the UK operation in order to ensure that BrassRing is able to both deliver new customers, via direct sales channels and partners, and to support its current customers in their own expansion plans.

ìI am thrilled to be joining BrassRing at this very exciting time,î said Jeremy Langley. ìI look forward to working closely with the companyís global team to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our growing European client base. The UK is a market that is showing strong signs of growth and BrassRing is in a great position to build leadership in it.

Jeremy joins BrassRing from StepStone ASA, Europeís largest provider of online recruitment solutions, where he worked as Group Product Director, Business Development Director, and most recently as Sales Strategy Director. While at StepStone, Jeremy was responsible for business alliances ñ with companies such as PeopleSoft and The Network ñ an alliance of leading job-boards, and latterly was jointly responsible for European sales. During his tenure, Jeremy was also appointed to Interim County Manager in Sweden, where he helped re-establish the organization as the leading commercial online recruitment business in the country.

As part of its global expansion plan, BrassRing will be launching the latest version of its award-winning Enterprise platform later this month, featuring industry-leading agency management capabilities, twenty languages, and one of the most advanced search capabilities in talent management today. The easily configured system is designed to give recruiters the capabilities, competence and control they need to build globally competitive workforces, quickly and efficiently.
