Anniversary celebration heralds local success of education division

Company celebrates the end of a hugely successful first year today

Staff from Birmingham based specialist employment company, NOW Education, will be celebrating the end of a hugely successful first year this Thursday (15th July) by entertaining clients and candidates at a venue in central Birmingham.

ìUntil our Birmingham branch was opened last year NOW Recruitment didnít have an education division operating in the Midlands area,î says Mandy Wilkins, NOW Education Team Leader. ìThe interest in our services from nurseries through to primary, secondary and special needs schools in the Midlands throughout the past year has been very encouraging.î

Throughout the last 12 months NOW Education have noticed a trend in the need for more secondary and primary school teachers in the West Midlands area and have been working non-stop to supply schools with high quality candidates.

ìA huge part of our day-to-day work has been to source and supply high quality candidates for our secondary school clients in the region,î says Mandy. ìAt present there is a huge demand for teachers and as a company we are succeeding in finding our clients the right people at the right time. I believe this is due to the skills and experience of the senior education consultants that we have on board. They know the area well and have worked in partnership with local schools for many years.î

NOW Education also puts their success down to the strong links which they have developed with their colleagues in Bristol. NOW Educationís first office was set up in Bristol a few years ago and has since developed a very strong south-west client and candidate base. ìSome of the teachers that we have on our books at the moment have moved to the Midlands from the south-west. If these candidates hadnít received a top quality service from our colleagues in Bristol then they wouldnít have placed their trust in the Birmingham branch to find them suitable placements in the Midlands. Itís important for us as company to ensure high quality staff are not lost when they relocate.

NOW Education is also looking to launch an Australian teacher placement scheme. ìWe are constantly striving to find new ways to bring education staff to the Midlands. Our strong links with our sister company NOW Careers in Sydney will enable us to bring fully qualified, high quality candidates to the Midlands in order to meet demand from our clients. Interviews will be commencing from Mid-July, with teachers being placed from early September,î concludes Mandy.
