Angels at Buckingham Palace

Angels attended the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace recently when Janet Crawford

Angels attended the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace recently when Janet Crawford, founder and executive chair of Angel Human resources plc, was invited. The invitation was for Janet and three guests so she took along Redmond Roche, partner and manager of the Shepherdís Bush branch of Angel, Russell Crawford, managing director and his wife, Caroline who is also invoice manager at Angel.

ëI was delighted to be invited and to attend the Royal Garden Party in my capacity of Fellow of the RSA.í Janet explained, ëThis year is a special anniversary for the RSA and so to acknowledge it the Queen had representatives of the Society at the party.í

Janetís invitation to become a Fellow of the RSA, many years ago, followed press coverage about a performance of hers in Romeo and Juliet. Her acting skills combined with running an expanding business and bringing up her three children embodied the values of the Society and she has proved to be an excellent role model within the RSA.

ëGoing to the Palace was marvellous but doesnít beat the other occasion on which I met the Queen,í Janet added. ëI was dragged along to a charity event on a really hot day by a friend. The Queen was due to appear and whilst everyone else went to stand where they thought the Queen would be I decided to sit down on the floor with a cup of tea as I was exhausted. Imagine my surprise when I looked up and saw the Queen with her entourage walking into the hall where I was! Before I could stand up she was in front of me and insisted I stay where I was and finish my tea, as I looked so comfortable. What a gracious lady! The friend who had dragged me along never did get to see her, let alone have a conversation with her!í
