.

An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Employment NTO has voted to change the organisationís name to ENTO. The motion was unanimously backed by those voting at the meeting held at the IOD in London on Thursday 30th October 2003.

ENTO is a self financing, independent organisation with responsibility for developing and maintaining National Occupational Standards. The organisation also has responsibility for the promotion and marketing of the matrix standard and for maintaining a register of approved advisors and assessors.

Following the decision to disband the NTO network in favour of the Skills for Business Network, ENTO embark on an ambitious programme of product development which has seen the organisation undergo unprecedented growth in the last 12 months.

The growth has resulted in the creation of 25 jobs and the opening of the offices in both Cardiff and Glasgow.

ìToday marks the start of a new era for the organisation and I am delighted that the Council have voted to adopt ENTO as the new company name. We will continue to provide solutions for key stakeholders, practitioners and managers.

My thanks go to the Board, my team and all those involved with the organisation for ensuring that we have been able to over come the major challenges that have been presented to us in the last 12 months.î
