AliceStreet to launch new communications solution in London during Softworld

in HR & Payroll exhibition (3rd-4th March).

AliceStreet launches the AliceStreet Conference Center, a unique new software product enabling true interpersonal communication and organisational cohesiveness within todayís distributed businesses.

On 3rd and 4th March 2004, AliceStreet will be launching its new product, the AliceStreet Conference Center, upstairs from the Softworld in HR & Payroll exhibition in Olympia, London on stand 260 at the associated Business Performance and Project Management event.

A major challenge for todayís businesses is how to ensure that different groups of employees, dispersed around different offices and different parts fo the world, are able to work together as a single organisation. Too often, branch offices and remote workers do not feel properly part of the organisation leading to problems with motivation, incentivisation and cohesiveness.

The AliceStreet Conference Center is a new software product which makes it really easy and intuitive for teams and departments to meet when the individuals involved are unable to be in the same place. It allows the meeting participants to get a real sense of meeting and communicating at a genuine, interpersonal level ñ all without even leaving their desks.

ìWe want to allow businesses to address the human issues involved in running todayís distributed organisations, while still allowing them to make savings on travelling time and overheadsî said AliceStreetís founder, Henry Harrison. ìIssues of team cohesiveness and motivation are very real concerns for every organisation, but itís enormously costly to get people together on a regular basis. Other solutions for holding distributed meetings are either ineffective, difficult to use, or wildly expensive, and often all of the above. The AliceStreet Conference Center enables real communication in a cost-effective package.î

The AliceStreet Conference Center incorporates existing technologies such as live video, voice over IP, and web conferencing, but builds these into a radically new environment based on real-time immersive 3D graphics to create a solution that can be difficult to describe, but is extremely easy to grasp and use as soon as it is seen in action.

AliceStreetís website ñ www.alicestreet.com ñ includes an online demonstration of a recorded conference which takes only a few minutes to run. AliceStreet will also be demonstrating the solution in action at the Business Performance and Project Management exhibition.

The AliceStreet Conference Center uses standard, tried-and-tested PC technologies, making it practical to deploy the solution in most organisational environments. The product is currently deployed with several major corporates both in the UK and elsewhere, who are successfully using the product to hold meetings across their WANs and across VPN connections and DSL links to participantsí homes and remote offices.

AliceStreet confidently expects to announce deals with several of these customers in the next few weeks.

Other organisations interested in trying the AliceStreet Conference Center for themselves are able to download a fully featured ñ but limited period ñ copy of the AliceStreet software from AliceStreetís website, allowing them complete freedom to try the solution before they buy.
