4mat Releases Instructions for Avoiding Prosecution

Under New Data Protection Guidelines

After two months of frantic Data Protection activity 4mat.com, the UKís leading provider of recruitment web sites have just released a full ëHow to Comply With the Guidelinesí instruction document for the new Data Protection Guidelines.

4mat were the first to break the news that the new Data Protection Guidelines would effectively mean that almost every recruitment web site in the UK would be breaking the law and open to prosecution. Since then 4mat have conducted over 500 reviews of web sites and spoken to over two thousand people about the implications of the guidelines.

Managing Director Giles Guest commented ìThe response to the free review service was enormous especially with our focus on the way the guidelines effected a companyís web site. After completing so many reviews we decided to use the information to release step-by-step instructions for how to comply with the guidelines.î

Available to download from 4matís web site, the guide gives detailed instructions of where companies are likely to breach the guidelines and what they can do to ensure compliance and hence avoid prosecution.

4mat client Nick Terry of the Drax Group commented ìLike most recruitment companies we were extremely concerned about the new guidelines especially as we are considering the next step of our web site development. The free review and now these instructions for ensuring compliance have proven to be extremely helpful.î

The instructions are available free from 4matís web site at www.4mat.com/dataprotection
