TMP Worldwide revolutionizes mobile job postings

Targeted Information Makes It Easier for Mobile Users to Learn About and Apply for Jobs

TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications, LLC, the world’s largest independent digital recruitment advertising agency, today announced the launch of their new TalentBrew Mobile, which will take the mobile job search experience to a new level. Developed in-house, these first-to-market job search sites will provide job seekers with the industry’s first truly mobile-friendly versions of online job listings and an abbreviated, customized application process.

“We have revolutionized the mobile job posting with a technology-based solution that provides information specific to each job and that can be easily read on a mobile device,” said Matt Lamphear, Senior Vice President of Interactive Products at TMP Worldwide. “We have seen a sharp rise in mobile traffic to client career sites and TMP’s TalentBrew job search sites, and this will make it easier for candidates to learn about and apply for our clients’ jobs from the palm of their hands.”

The new functionalities include a “Short Job Requirement” section that parses out key skills requirements into a brief, easy-to-read list that allows candidates to immediately decide if they are qualified for the role, without having to scroll through paragraphs of text.

Enhanced location capabilities go beyond traditional GPS-enabled job search, and allow job seekers to estimate the commute from their home to the company address or view an interactive map that can highlight nearby points of interest to candidates -- such as restaurants, coffee shops and daycare centers -- that could factor into a candidate’s decision to apply.

The new mobile sites also enable job seekers to glimpse into the culture of the company through specific visual and textual content specific to a specific job or location.  Options range from photos of the office or images of current employees to short videos that provide insight into a company. Relevant textual content pieces -- such as specific employee profiles, company awards, or other job highlights – can also be added to provide a full picture of a job opening and the company itself.

TMP also has developed the ability to give potential candidates the option to apply for a position on a mobile device via a shortened, mobile-friendly version of a company’s existing desktop application process.

“Mobile users expect local, easy to read, and relevant information,” said Lamphear. “Our new mobile job postings give candidates what they want in several formats popular on mobile devices -- from images to video or maps. In a world where research and decision making is often being done on the go, TMP has now made it possible for job seekers to have the same level of access and flexibility.”
