Monster UK has unveiled its Android app for on-the-go job hunting, the latest in its line of mobile apps for devices including the iPhone and iPad. The Monster Android app can be downloaded for free via the Android Market .
The Android app makes it easy to keep up with the latest job opportunities on the move, from any location. The application puts Monster’s 6Sense/advanced search technology in the palm of your hand allowing you to match jobs to your skill set and experience.
“At Monster we understand that mobile devices have become an integral part of people’s lives and the introduction of the Android app has been designed to address this. Users shouldn’t be restricted to having to track down a computer every time they want to go online to look for jobs” says Graeme Goulden, Product Manager at Monster. “The Monster Android app lets you carry out your job search, wherever you are and whatever device you use.”
With the individual user profiles, the Android app allows you to view and apply for jobs, manage your Monster account and access saved job searches. The app also gives you access to new job posts as soon as they are uploaded. Direct links to GoogleMaps, means users cans view the location of the job.
The main features of the Monster app for Android include:
- Advanced search technology - Search for jobs on the move based on your current skills, education level and experience from any location. You can see exactly where each job is thanks to direct access to GoogleMaps
- Saved Searches - Save your searches, text or email them to yourself to view on a PC or phone later
- Saved Jobs - Save preferred job opportunities to a ‘Saved Jobs list’ so you can apply for different jobs at your convenience
- My CVs & My Cover Letter - View and select cover letters and CVs stored on your Monster account
- Job Apply - Apply for jobs directly from your Android device, select which CV to attach and which covering letter you wish to work with
- Apply History - Keep track of all the jobs you have applied for and view the number of employers who have reviewed your CV
