Innergy, leading consultancy and training organisation to the recruitment industry, are delighted to announce the launch of employmentlawforbusiness.com, a unique, cost effective online solution to training employees on Equality and Diversity.

In partnership with DWF (National Law Firm of the Year 2011), Innergy launched employmentlawforbusiness.com in response to the growing demand from employers for cost effective online solutions to managing and developing people.

With a 56% year on year increase in claims, businesses want to reduce risk, comply with legal best practice and develop their people, while at the same time reducing costs and time spent away growing the business.

Additionally recruitment businesses are required to demonstrate when bidding for business that they comply (and can prove it) with best practice, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Equality Act 2011.

Initially Employment Law for Business comprises of a free assessment for employers to assess levels of understanding of Equality and Diversity and the Equality Act 2010, with the system providing central visibility and reporting of results to enable employers to decide what training is needed and purchase the relevant number of credits for the training.

The training is an online training module taking the user through all aspects of Equality and Diversity in the workplace which can be incorporated into company induction programmes to systematically develop all recruiters.

The training is followed by an assessment – included in the training cost - to cement and test the users learned knowledge of Equality and Diversity demonstrating best practice employee management.

Gordon Stoddart, Director of Innergy, comments: “The number of claims brought in the Employment Tribunal in 2009/2010 was 236,100, an increase of 56% on the previous year.”

“With tribunal claims on the increase it is more important than ever to develop understanding of best practice amongst staff, provide evidence to customers of commitment to Equality and Diversity and protect ourselves from costly tribunals.”

“Employment Law for Business is a user friendly, easily accessible, cost effective online solution complimenting existing training in companies and a great way of achieving best practice and protection from tribunal claims.”
